Chandra Bartholomeusz is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Breast Medical Oncology at The University of Texas, MD Anderson Cancer Center. She was the recipient of a Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Postdoctoral Fellowship Award and a K99/R00 Pathway to Independence Award from the National Cancer Institute. Her research focuses on defining the biological and molecular effects of signaling pathways in breast cancer, with emphasis on TNBC (Both Non-inflammatory and Inflammatory breast cancer) metastasis. In particular, a strong interest of her lab is to study the role of the MAPK-pathway and the inhibitors of this pathway, with emphasis in determining the factors involved in the mechanism of resistance of MAPK-directed therapy.
