Dr. Lilei Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Molecular and Human Genetics at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Zhang earned her medical degree from Peking University Health Science Center, Beijing, China in 2001 and her Ph.D. in Human Genetics and Molecular Biology from Johns Hopkins University in 2016. Dr. Zhang completed her internal medicine residency and fellowship at University Hospital Case Medical Center in 2013. She has certifications from the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics. The overarching theme of her laboratory is to understand the genomic and epigenomic regulation of the cardiovascular system in health and in disease with an emphasis on heart failure and cardiomyopathies.
