Dr. Dobrolecki has been working with breast cancer patient-derived xenograft models since January of 2009.  She has spent the last 10 years working to establish and characterize models for use in preclinical drug treatment studies.  Two years ago the laboratory established an Advanced Technology Core to aid other organ systems within BCM in starting PDX model programs. The lab has received a CPRIT grant to help fund this effort and are currently working with 15 other groups to coordinate and standardize PDX establishment procedures.
